Ken Jamieson has been appointed as the general manager of Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), one of the most sophisticated convention and exhibition centres in the world, operated by Amlak.
Jamieson, who takes up the new role following a year working with Amlak's venue management team, brings a wealth of knowledge, derived from his 24 years of regional event experience, working with Informa, IIR Middle East, Dubai World Trade Centre and the ITP Publishing Group.
A creative, proactive and engaging business leader, he has proven expertise in creating, developing and delivering major exhibitions, conferences, awards, live and sporting events in the Middle East, said a statement.
“Ken brings fresh, market relevant experience to his new role. Above all, he is a strong leader with forward thinking strategies and a commercial drive that will only grow and enhance the reputation of the QNCC. We are fully confident that in his capacity as general manager, Ken will take the reins and lead QNCC to becoming the best convention and exhibition centre in the region,” said Amlak chief executive officer Abdul Aziz Al Emadi.
Amlak, an established Qatari holding group, manages a strategic portfolio of assets across sectors such as hospitality and leisure, real estate, event venues and services.
