During a recent trip to Dubai, we aimed to explore the vibrant city while staying in accommodation that kept us close to its must-visit attractions and culinary hotspots. On the recommendation of Dubai-based colleagues, we chose the DoubleTree by Hilton M Square Hotel & Residences. Strategically located near lively attractions and the historic business district, the property offered a seamless blend of modern convenience and exceptional service.
From the moment we arrived, the hotel's commitment to personalized hospitality was evident. Despite arriving before the standard check-in time, the staff welcomed us warmly with the DoubleTree’s signature fresh cookies and invited us to relax while our room was prepared. To our delight, we were upgraded to a one-bedroom apartment. While waiting for our room, we enjoyed coffee at Larte, the hotel’s lobby café, beautifully adorned for the festive season with Christmas trees and treats. The marketing team engaged us in friendly conversation, offering travel tips and insights into the property, making us feel genuinely valued. Our eighth-floor apartment in the Residence section exceeded expectations. Thoughtfully designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, a cozy sitting area, and a generous balcony, it provided both comfort and style. The apartment featured a well-equipped kitchen, a luxurious bathroom, and an additional guest toilet, making it ideal for small families. The tasteful decor, inspired by the bygone industrial era, added a touch of understated elegance. Modern amenities, including ample coffee, tea, and mineral water, ensured our convenience. The highlight of our stay was the breathtaking view from our residence, the view of the Burj Khalifa. The iconic world’s tallest tower dominated the skyline, alongside other landmarks such as the Emirates Towers and the Museum of the Future. A decorative yet functional binocular enhanced our experience by allowing us to spot distant wonders. The hotel’s prime location was another advantage. Two metro stations within a 10-minute walk provided easy access to major attractions, while a nearby bus stop and abundant taxis ensured hassle-free transportation. Spice Tree, the hotel’s signature restaurant, welcomes guests with vibrant modern and Indian-inspired décor, offering an Indian fusion cuisines and exceptional multi-cuisine menu. Each morning, we indulged in a lavish breakfast spread that catered to diverse tastes, featuring a good selection of Indian vegetarian dishes. Dinner was equally delightful, with a carefully crafted set menu that made choosing our meals easy. A variety of local eateries nearby also made it easy to find delicious food any time of the day, even for a vegetarian like me. For recreation, the hotel boasted two large swimming pools: a family-friendly pool on the mezzanine floor and an adult-only pool on the 19th floor. The latter provided a serene retreat with nearly 360-degree views of Dubai’s skyline. Guests could lounge by the pool or shower while enjoying views of the Burj Khalifa's dazzling lights. A spa offering rejuvenating treatments added to the relaxation options. During our stay, the staff's commitment to exceptional service was truly remarkable–from their warm hospitality to their prompt assistance. On our final day, the restaurant team surprised us with a cake and heartfelt "Happy Journey" wishes, even capturing the moment with selfies. These thoughtful gestures left a lasting impression, making our experience at DoubleTree by Hilton even more special. We eagerly look forward to our next visit.
