Global Village, the region’s premier multicultural family destination for entertainment, dining, shopping and attractions, is honouring the traditions of Ramadan with its new experience ‘Multaqa Global Village’, a concept designed to bring family and friends together in the spirit of the Holy Month.
The new experience is being introduced for the first time in Season 29.
As part of the destination’s Home of Ramadan Wonders, aligned with the #RamadanInDubai emirate-wide campaign and the UAE’s ‘Year of Community’ initiative, Multaqa Global Village embraces the essence of community. It offers a free-of-charge majlis-style seating area, where guests can come together to enjoy a delectable meal in a cosy, welcoming setting that defines their Ramadan nights. They can connect, socialise, share meals, and reminisce over nostalgic traditional games, cherished during this special time of year.
Merging comfort and tradition, Multaqa Global Village is more than a seating area. Beautifully nestled in the heart of the park between the Main Stage and the Dragon Lake, it features comfortable floor cushions, elegant low tables and twinkling festoon lights that create a warm atmosphere. With open archways that frame breathtaking views of the destination, guests can experience the Ramadan-special fireworks, illuminating the sky every Friday and Saturday at 10:00PM, adding a touch of splendour to their Ramadan nights.
At Multaqa Global Village, guests have the option to bring in food from the destination’s 250+ dining options and gather for a shared meal of suhoor, iftar or in-between snacks. They can savour delicious selections and take to Multaqa Global Village from the park’s restaurants, cafes or key street food experiences, offered at the Fiesta Street, the Railway Market, the Floating Market, the Happiness Street and the Indian Chaat Bazaar. Guests can also choose from an array of bites available at Multaqa Global Village’s food carts offering Arabic coffee, along with a variety of treats to elevate the experience.
Alongside the experience of Multaqa Global Village, many restaurants and cafés across the park are offering special Iftar set menus, featuring diverse cuisines from around the world.
These include a variety of Middle Eastern and Turkish cuisines at Tahounat Beirut, Naseem Beirut, Al Romansiah, The Taksim Palace and Galata Turkish, each offering special Iftar set menus of soups, salads, appetisers, grills, traditional main courses and desserts. Naseem Beirut provides a kids' menu, ensuring younger guests can enjoy their Iftar experience.
As a key highlight on the Dubai Calendar of Events, Global Village continues its tradition of unveiling new experiences each Ramadan, enriching the Holy Month’s essence of connection, reflection and shared moments.
With extended operating hours during Ramadan, Global Village is open from 5:00 pm to 1:30 am (Sunday to Wednesday) and 5:00 pm to 2:00 am (Thursday to Saturday), offering guests immersive Ramadan nights this Season 29 at ‘A More Wonderful World’. – TradeArabia News Service
