Travel has been growing exponentially in recent years, and 2025 is no exception. As the summer season approaches, there is an increased demand for visas for travel during Eid break and school holidays.
To avoid stress and anxiety, it is essential to plan ahead by understanding the visa requirements for your chosen destination, preparing all required documents, booking flights and accommodations early, and staying updated on current travel advisories and regulations, according to Sumanth Kapoor, Head – KSA and Bahrain, VFS.
Visa processing timelines are available on official websites of embassies and consulates, but peak travel seasons can lead to extended processing times.
Applying for your visa well in advance is highly recommended, as Schengen countries accept applications up to six months prior to your intended travel date.
To ensure a smooth visa application process, applicants must book an appointment in advance at Visa Application Centres, which are available on the official VFS Global website and are free of charge.
Be cautious of third-party entities that claim to offer priority or expedited appointment booking services for an additional fee, as they are fraudulent. VFS Global does not charge a fee for booking appointments.
Before international travel, it is crucial to ascertain the visa requirements for the destination country, verify passport validity, and follow the guidelines set by the relevant Embassy/Consulate. Adherence to these guidelines will contribute to a smooth and uncomplicated travel experience. -TradeArabia News Service
