LIFE Resorts delivered an encouraging vote of confidence to the Vietnamese tourism industry earlier this year when Life Resort Da Nang became the first new resort to open on Vietnam’s much-prized central coast beach between Da Nang and Hoi An since the global recession.
The property is set on five hectares fronting the beautiful Bac My An beach, often referred to in the West as China Beach. The vibrant city of Da Nang is close by and boasts its own international airport with daily flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang.
Accommodation ranges from 158 spacious superior and deluxe rooms with balconies to the penthouse suites with Jacuzzi baths, huge balconies and sensational sea views and 11 one and two-bedroom villas with open-plan living rooms, private gardens and large luxury en-suites with generous stone baths.
“Life Resorts is well established in nearby Hoi An and has built a strong reputation for quality and luxury,” said Chris Duffy, general director of Life Resorts. “This is a renowned beach in a spectacular region of a culturally fascinating country. The fact that there is so much to see is further complemented by the quality of this new resort.”

Guests have the choice of a snack at the Lobby Bar, a sunset cocktail at the Pool Bar or dining at Senses Restaurant which offers East meets West fusion cuisine.
Relaxation comes in the form of the Nang Spa and there is a fully-equipped fitness centre as well as additional beach activities from kayaking to beach volleyball while the resort also includes a stunning swimming pool and day/night tennis courts.
Meanwhile business visitors are catered for – from small meetings of 20 to a major conference of 750 delegates.
“We’re near the airport, near the city centre, near three Unesco World Heritage sites and two world-class golf courses,” said Duffy. “Make no mistake, this is a special resort in a special place and it is a representation of the ambition and confidence of Life Resorts, (owner) Hoang Tra Travel and Trading and Vietnam’s tourist industry as a whole.
“Having opened in March Life Resort Danang is going from strength to strength. The resort has really come into its own now and is starting to see some great occupancies. We are fortunate to have a versatile product being able to cater to the needs of various markets including local and international leisure, Mice and corporate business alike. We look forward to continued success going forward.”
*In September, after many months of preparation, the company will be launching the water-based Life Heritage Resort, Halong Bay where five of its 22–junk fleet will take to the spectacular seascape of limestone pillars that is Halong Bay with an exciting cruise itinerary.
