THE Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, has officially opened the doors of its first luxury hotel in India. Located on Residency Road, in the heart of downtown Bengaluru, the hotel is part of a destination renowned for its world-class shopping, dining and entertainment.
Bengaluru is India’s third largest city and best known as the Silicon Valley of India and also The Garden City, and is home to 400 of the Top Fortune 500 companies.
The 277 room city centre Ritz-Carlton hotel embraces tradition with the Jaali (lattice screen) design from the Mughal era and many architectural and interior design features, including pointed archways and ample white marble reminiscent of the Taj Mahal.
Jaali screens offer a sense of privacy while allowing light to flow through them. An impressive marble staircase is the centre piece of the hotel interior and decorative paintings and sculptures, coupled with intricate patterns, are all carefully blended to form an essential part of the hotel’s character. With 1,280 pieces of contemporary art from prominent artists, The Ritz-Carlton, Bengaluru is home to the largest collection inside a hotel.
The Ritz-Carlton, Bengaluru will feature seven fine dining restaurants and venues to the city, which are to be run by Michelin Star chef Anupam Banerjee. A Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge, the first managed Ritz-Carlton Spa by ESPA in Bengaluru, a Rossano Ferretti salon, and the city’s largest no-pillar ballroom also take centre stage.
The hotel company also opened its first hotel in Kazakhstan in Almaty. The most highly anticipated hotel in Central Asia was unveiled by the company, and international real estate developer Capital Partners.
The new 145-room luxury hotel is the latest collaboration between Capital Partners and The Ritz-Carlton, following their partnership with The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow. The hotel sits atop the 37-storey Esentai Tower, one of the tallest buildings in Central Asia. With Club and Suite accommodations and more than 10,000 sq ft of meeting facilities, it is part of the Capital Partners’ Esentai Park development, which also includes an extensive shopping mall and residential complexes.
Almaty, formerly the capital city of Kazakhstan, is the Republic’s largest city and an important cultural and commercial centre. Located between the Bolshaya and Malaya rivers, Almaty was formerly one of the transit stations on the Silk Road and is now a vibrant business destination.
The city is located in the foothills of the Trans-Ili Alatau in the southeast of Kazakhstan where the mountains provide a stunning backdrop to the city’s skyline.
The hotel company introduced its sixth luxury resort in the exclusive Caribbean and Mexico portfolio with the opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba.
Situated on the island’s pristine Palm Beach, the oceanfront hotel officially welcomes its first guests while ushering in a new level of luxury travel experiences to the beautiful island nation.
The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba’s 320 stylish guestrooms and 55 suites all boast private balconies with sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea.
The Ritz-Carlton Spa will be the largest on the island revealing a 15,000 sq ft tranquil oasis complemented by 13 intimate treatment rooms, salon and boutique. The hotel offers four dining experiences and offers a range of meetings and event facilities including a 7,500 sq ft ballroom, three meeting rooms and a selection of outdoor locations. The resort also features a 24-hour 15,000 sq ft casino.
