Bahrain gears up for major shopping extravaganza
The 31st edition of the Autumn Fair, organised by Informa Markets, will be officially inaugurated under the patronage of the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Zayed R. Alzayani on January 23 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The nine-day shopping extravaganza will run until January 31 and features over 650 stalls from 16 countries.
Shoppers will be treated to a huge variety of goods from across the globe at the Autumn Fair, including specialty food, fashion, beauty, home décor, technology, toys, textiles and more.
Amongst the many exhibitors are large pavilions of traders from China, Egypt, India, Kuwait, Pakistan, Turkey, Oman, Yemen and UAE. New for 2020, a group of 12 exhibitors from Morocco are set to showcase a stunning range of local handicrafts.
An outdoor Street Food Market will offer hungry shoppers a selection of culinary delights from 17 of Bahrain’s finest traders.
“The Autumn Fair truly has something for everyone. The festive atmosphere, huge variety of goods and exclusive retail opportunities all combine to create a great day out for the whole family,” said Informa Markets project manager Yaqoob Ali.
“Visitors will discover many new to market products and tried and tested favourites - all at competitive prices from both local, regional and international exhibitors,” he continued.
Entry and timings
Entry to the Autumn Fair 2020 remains at BD1 ($2.6) despite the implementation of VAT in the country. Tickets can be purchased during show opening hours from kiosks at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. Children under the age of 12 years will be admitted free of charge.
The exhibition will open from 12 pm–10 pm on January 23 and 24, 10am-2pm and 4pm-10pm from January 25 to 29, 10am-10pm on January 30 and 31.
On January 26 and 27, from 10am–2pm, the exhibition will open to ladies only. - TradeArabia News Service
