Resorts World Cruises (RWC) launched its inaugural sailing in the Middle East, with Resorts World One departing from Dubai on November 1 this year. A special event marked the maiden voyage, attended by 600 invitees, including dignitaries from the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and the media. Guests enjoyed live performances, diverse cuisine, and a tour of the ship.

The 1,800-passenger ship, Resorts World One, will be homeporting in Dubai, departing from the emirate’s Port Rashid Cruise Terminal three times a week, offering a variety of 2- and 3-night cruises to Sir Bani Yas, Doha, Muscat and Khasab.

Michael Goh, President of Resorts World Cruises, said, “Over the past two years, we have been to more than 30 ports. This demonstrates that as a cruise line we are consistently exploring new destinations and opportunities. While we may not be in a certain location today, we might be there very soon.

“What makes RWC special is that the ship can accommodate up to 2,500 passengers with a crew count of 1,500, offering a high service ratio, when compared to the cruise industry.”

Resorts World Cruises’ luxury offering, The Palace, offers an oasis, a ship-within-a-ship concept, boasting over 40 suites, including two lavish Palace Villas, and exclusive VIP facilities like separate checking/out lounge, a private pool and dining venues. Guests indulge in the chic Italian decor of the suites enjoying signature Asian and European cuisine at the Palace Restaurant, where a dedicated team of butlers promise unrivalled hospitality and expertise.

One of the standout features of Resorts World One is that it offers vegetarian cuisine, including Jain food, as well as Halal food, certified by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and The Standards and Metrology Institute.

On board entertainment is yet another highlight, it includes unique entertainment, featuring entertainment acts by international artists and shore excursions to Yas Island, which is otherwise difficult to access from land.

Naresh Rawal SVP- Sales, RWC, added, “We see a lot of repeat guests coming in, especially from the local GCC market. As a lifestyle and entertainment boutique, the programming on the cruise will keep changing, we are working on concepts like concerts and thematic cruising to celebrate Diwali, UAE National Day, Christmas and so on. The ship will keep changing and adapting, creating new reasons for our guests to keep coming back.”
