Spanning three million square feet along the Red Sea coastline, Miraval The Red Sea is designed to be a restorative haven framed by mangroves and lagoons

Miraval Resorts & Spas has announced its first destination outside of the United States, with Miraval The Red Sea set to open in early 2026. The adults-only, all-inclusive sanctuary marks a significant milestone for the Hyatt-owned brand as it brings its signature mindfulness-based philosophy to the Middle East.

Spanning three million square feet along the Red Sea coastline, the resort is designed to be a restorative haven framed by mangroves and lagoons. The property aligns with the Kingdom’s growing focus on ultra-luxury regenerative tourism under Saudi Vision 2030.

Designed by the renowned Foster + Partners with interiors by Rockwell Group, the resort’s architecture is inspired by the local coral reefs and desert landscapes. Featuring terracotta rammed-earth walls and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, the design creates a seamless indoor-outdoor connection.

In line with the Red Sea’s commitment to sustainability, the resort will operate with eco-conscious practices, including farm-to-table sourcing, fair-trade partnerships, and energy-efficient operations aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The resort will feature 180 guestrooms, suites and villas, each equipped with wellness-focused amenities such as meditation cushions and Himalayan singing bowls. The all-inclusive model includes all meals, beverages, and a daily resort credit, which guests can apply toward private sessions and spa services.

A central feature of the property is the Life in Balance Spa, which at 3,000 square metres and 39 treatment rooms, will be the largest facility on Shura Island. Highlights include The Serenity Centre with dedicated spaces for walking meditation, yoga, and reflection. The Majlis Spa Suite, a culturally inspired space reflecting Arabian traditions and specialised zones such as a body mindfulness centre for functional training and an aquatic centre for stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking.

Led by Executive Chef Hamdy Hassan, the resort’s culinary programme will focus on nutrition and mindful eating. Venues range from all-day dining at Rosemary to immersive workshops in the Life in Balance Culinary Kitchen. “Miraval The Red Sea will offer a unique opportunity for guests to embrace a lifestyle rooted in wellness, intention, and connection,” said Juan Paolo Alfonso, General Manager, Miraval The Red Sea. “Every detail, from architecture to programming, has been designed to provide an immersive wellness experience."
