The meeting facilities are attracting interest

City Seasons Hotel Muscat opened doors for its soft launch phase last month. The new property is the fifth hotel in the City Seasons Group’s portfolio and the first to open in Oman.

This new luxury business hotel offers 269 spacious rooms and suits, a fine blend of Arabian contemporary hospitality and modern facilities. The venue promises service excellence combined with the comfort and refinement of a modern, business hotel, offering strategic positioning for both business and leisure travellers.

Manu Madan, general manager said: “Since opening, we have received some very positive feedback for all areas of the hotel including rooms, recreation facilities and conference rooms. We are currently running at 50 per cent occupancy and our guests are keen to see our two restaurants open as soon as possible.”

According to Madan, the property has seen significant interest from corporate guests looking to take advantage of its meeting, event and conference facilities.

“Our main contributor will be local corporate and government business but we also expect the GCC to be a major contributing segment taking up at least 25 per cent of our occupancy,” he said.

The new hotel is appealing to both leisure and business visitors

“Our location and value-for-money offering has seen a large number of enquiries from companies wanting to have meetings and events at the hotel already.”

The property is gearing up for the summer months and has plans in place to promote summer packages with special promotional rates.

The property will eventually have five exclusive dining facilities offering a choice of cuisines including Thai, Italian, French and Lebanese. The leisure facilities include a roof-top swimming pool, health club with separate facilities for ladies and men, gym with state-of-the-art equipment, sauna, steam room and changing areas.

“The City Seasons brand has been in the market since 2005 and with more marketing we will create better awareness among travel trade partners to better educate them of the new City Seasons Muscat,” concluded Madan.
