
Flydubai to connect four new Europe cities
FLYDUBAI, the Dubai-based carrier, continues to grow its network in Europe with the launch of flights to four new destinations. This includes the start of flights to Chișinău (Moldova) and Iași (Romania) from September 2025 in addition to Riga (Latvia) and Vilnius (Lithuania) from December 2025, expanding the carrier’s network in Europe to 35 destinations across 20 countries. This announcement makes flydubai the first UAE carrier to offer direct flights between Dubai and Iași International Airport (IAS). The carrier first started operating to Romania in 2012 with the launch of flights to Bucharest. This also marks the carrier’s first entry into the Baltic region with a direct service to Riga International Airport (RIX) and Vilnius International Airport (VNO), increasing the number of underserved markets on its network to more than 100 destinations. Situated on the river Bîc, Chișinău is considered one of the greenest cities in Europe. Famous for its historic white limestone buildings, unique architecture and sprawling natural parks, Moldova’s capital is the ideal destination for those who want to travel off the beaten path. Iași, Romania's second-largest city, is a vibrant hub with a rich history. One of the oldest cities in the country, Iași features stunning historical sites and charming neighbourhoods. As capital cities of these Baltic states, Riga in Latvia and Vilnius in Lithuania offer visitors the chance to discover their magnificent architecture and UNESCO World Heritage old towns. flyadeal launches crew tour guide initiative flyadeal, the fastest growing airline in the Middle East, has announced a regional first with Saudi cabin crew to be trained as certified tour guides in support of Saudi Arabia's tourism industry. The programme will target 800 crew by 2030 for comprehensive tour guide training in which they will embrace wider learnings of Saudi Arabia’s culture and historical attractions. Upon completion, they will receive a licence as tourism ambassadors enabling them to hone their skills as official guides engaging with passengers, and with visitors in a private capacity. Over the next few weeks, the Saudi-based airline will open applications for courses specifically designed for Saudi nationals. A training institute accredited to Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism will conduct the courses. RX to launch inter aviation Arabia in Riyadh RX, a global leader in events and exhibitions and the team behind industry flagships such as inter airport Europe and The Airport Show, Dubai, has launched inter aviation Arabia, scheduled to take place in Riyadh in February 2026. The event aims to become one of the leading platforms for the aviation industry in the Middle East, contributing to advancing Saudi Arabia's transformation into a global aviation and logistics hub. The event will focus on four key pillars: airport investments, infrastructure, equipment, and airline route development. Together, these pillars represent the essential components of a modern and resilient aviation ecosystem. Visit Qatar, flynas sign MoU Visit Qatar has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with flynas Airlines to boost travel between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, during its participation at Arabian Travel Market 2025 in Dubai. Under the agreement, the two parties will work together to explore the launch of additional flights between Qatar and Saudi Arabia during major events and tournaments, including the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025. The partnership will also see the implementation of joint marketing campaigns aimed at positioning Qatar as a premier destination for Saudi travellers. Cebu Pacific, flyadeal enter wet lease deal Cebu Pacific (CEB), Philippines’ leading carrier, and flyadeal, Saudi Arabia’s fast growing low-cost airline, today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore joint strategic commercial initiatives. The agreement covers a wide range of opportunities in commercial cooperation and support in maintenance and engineering. The first phase of the MoU will see flyadeal utilise two of Cebu Pacific’s Airbus A320 aircraft on a wet-lease arrangement for the upcoming summer peak flying season in Saudi Arabia. Reciprocally, Cebu Pacific is examining wet-leasing flyadeal A320s during the busy winter period in Southeast Asia at the end of the year. The agreement was signed at a joint press conference held in Manila on May 28 at which flyadeal Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Steven Greenway and Cebu Pacific CEO Mike Szucs outlined plans for a phased cooperation beginning with the wet-lease arrangement.
