Georgia is attracting travellers with its mountain landscapes, wellness retreats and winter sports, offering a mix of outdoor activities and relaxation.
The country recorded
145,513 visits from Gulf countries in 2025. In the first half of 2026, visits
from the region reached 26,397, according to tourism figures.
Mountain destinations are among Georgia’s main attractions, with Gudauri and Svaneti offering scenic landscapes and outdoor activities.
Batumi, on the Black Sea coast, provides
opportunities for seaside breaks.
Summer remains a popular period for visitors seeking cooler mountain temperatures and green landscapes.
Winter tourism is also gaining attention, particularly among
travellers from the UAE, with snow activities adding to Georgia’s seasonal
appeal.
Wellness tourism is another part of the country’s offering. Resorts in Borjomi, Tskaltubo and Sairme provide spa and therapeutic experiences, while Tbilisi’s historic sulphur baths offer visitors opportunities to relax in the capital.
Georgia is also developing its tourism infrastructure, with plans for additional premium accommodation and further investment in eco-tourism and adventure-based experiences.
These developments are intended to broaden the range of activities
available to visitors and support the country’s tourism sector. -TTN
