Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of QURO Bangkok Riverside, the first Unscripted by Hyatt hotel in Thailand, marking a new chapter for the 62-room property formerly known as The StandardX, Bangkok Phra Arthit.

Located on Phra Arthit Road along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok’s historic Bang Lamphu neighbourhood, the hotel combines contemporary design, art and local culture, offering guests a distinctive experience inspired by the area’s heritage and evolving creative scene.

The property is within easy reach of major attractions, including Khao San Road, the National Museum, the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun, and is situated beside Phra Arthit Pier.

QURO Bangkok Riverside joins Unscripted by Hyatt’s portfolio of upscale independent hotels, which retain their individual identities while benefiting from Hyatt’s global platform and hospitality standards.

“QURO Bangkok Riverside takes its name from the word ‘Curate,’” said Sunshine Jeamjirarut, general manager of the hotel. “We bring together art, immersive local experiences and an unhurried approach to service to create a singular, cohesive identity.”

The hotel’s 62 rooms feature neighbourhood-inspired artwork, contemporary interiors and private balconies, with selected accommodations offering views of the river and surrounding district.

Its facilities include QURO Point of View, a rooftop bar offering views of the Chao Phraya River, and a rooftop swimming pool. QURO GALLERY and QURO SOURCED provide spaces for showcasing rotating art exhibitions and carefully selected products, while BEANS Coffee Roaster serves coffee in the lobby.

Silpa Riverside Restaurant completes the offering with Thai cuisine inspired by Bangkok’s local character, providing guests with an opportunity to explore regional flavours.

Through its emphasis on art, design and community connections, QURO Bangkok Riverside aims to bring travellers closer to the cultural character of Bang Lamphu while offering a contemporary hospitality experience in one of the Thai capital’s historic riverside districts. -TTN
