The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), a global community and knowledge hub for the international association meetings industry, will host the 63rd ICCA Congress in Abu Dhabi in October.
The theme of the congress, being held from October 20-23 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec), is Tomorrow Starts Today which aptly reflects the can-do spirit of the industry, an industry that makes change happen through global collaboration, fresh ideas, new relationships, and generating opportunities for all, a statement said. “From the spectacular launch on the final day of last year’s ICCA Congress in Bangkok, until the moment congress begins everything we do in the coming months is geared towards delivering a world-class event for our members, one that will resonate throughout our industry, and beyond,” it said. “Working closely with hosts Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau (ADCEB) and the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi, we will deliver a Congress full of vibrancy, state-of-the-art spectacle, hugely enjoyable social events, and thought-provoking content with the scope to shape, inspire, and influence the way we think, plan, and do international events,” it said. The congress will have four pillars that aim to create a distinctive content programme covering relevant industry-focussed topics:- Technology and Innovation (including AI and Blockchain)
- Sustainability and Environmental Impact
- Cultural Awareness & Social Impacts (including Legacy and DEI)
- Business Trends & Growth (including Sales & Marketing)
