THE newly refurbished Al Bustan Intercontinental Muscat was the venue for the recent Gulf Tourism and Real Estate Investment Forum.

The event was organised by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in co-operation with the Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council Countries Chambers (FGCCC).

Hosted by Tameer Investment, it was aimed at promoting tourism investment in the GCC and reviewing key tourism investment opportunities available under the current financial conditions.

Suleiman Masoud Al-Harthy, CEO of Taameer Investment Company, said: “We believe that the final recommendations of this forum will have a direct impact in development of Omani investment tools and it will highlight the Omani environment as the most stable investment environment in the region.

“We also expect it may lead to new legislation which will attract international investment companies to invest in the Sultanate of Oman.”
