THE Samsara Spa - one of the largest floating spas ever built - is the highlight of the Costa Serena.
It covers 2,154 sq m (not including the Samsara accommodation and restaurant area), extending over two decks at the bow of the ship and surrounded by huge glass windows affording spectacular sea views.
Costa Crociere has recently increased the number of Samara cabins available on the Costa Serena compared to the 67 on the Costa Concordia.
On board the Costa Serena there are 99 Samsara cabins and suites, with direct access to the wellness area.  All guests booking one of these will be given a package of treatments and services including an invitation to the tea ceremony in the spa, unlimited entry to the spa itself and to the Thalassotherapy Pool, a personalised wellness consultation, two body or facial treatments, two fitness or meditation classes, twoSolarium sessions, two entries into the relaxation area with solarium and UVB rays, and a reserved table in the exclusive Ristorante Samsara with wellness menus.  The accommodation offers comfort plus amenities and extras including a flat screen TV and a special Samsara set of bath accessories.
The wellness centre is also open for other guests on board who can choose to buy a day pass or an unlimited pass lasting for the whole cruise.
