Qatar Tourism and Mwani Qatar hosted a closing ceremony at Old Doha Port to celebrate the 2024/2025 cruise season, which saw a 19 per cent rise in cruise ship arrivals, welcoming 87 vessels and over 360,000 visitors.

The season included five maiden calls, 13 full turnarounds, and highlighted Doha’s growing status as a regional cruise hub. Officials credited strong public-private collaboration and state-of-the-art infrastructure at The Terminal for delivering a seamless visitor experience. Eleven cruise lines chose Doha as a destination, reflecting increasing global confidence.

The 2025/2026 season is expected to see further growth, with 130 cruise calls and 450,000+ visitors projected. Qatar Tourism and Mwani Qatar reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cruise tourism in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and enhancing the country’s global position in the marine tourism sector.
