St Moritz offers several adventure sports activities.

Switzerland’s St. Moritz region is promoting itself as an ideal family holiday destination for GCC travelers, offering history, luxury, sport activities and a complete selection of entertainment.

The region boasts five-star luxury properties across the Swiss Alps and offers soft sports such as promenade around the lake or adventure sports such as hiking and climbing.

In addition to indulging in traditional sports, holiday-makers can enjoy a spot of sailing, windsurfing, tennis and horseback riding, or take a relaxing ride on Europe’s highest scheduled boat service.

Moreover, St Moritz is a golfer’s paradise boasting four golf courses located in the Alps.

The destination promises to win the hearts of its guests with its breath-taking panorama, the seemingly endless expanse of the lake plateau, and the pleasant mountain summer temperatures that are ideal for active holidays in spectacular surroundings.

“We are ready to welcome visitors from the GCC during both summer and winter seasons. St. Moritz enjoyed an 19 per cent increase in the number of visitors from the GCC in 2014, and we are keen to invest in this region even further to attract more visitors to St. Moritz,” said Ariane Ehrat, CEO, Tourism Organization St. Moritz.

The organization took part in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2015, which concluded on Thursday (May7).
 
“The ATM is one of the most important trade shows for promoting St. Moritz’s profile in the Middle East and we are happy to be present this year along with Switzerland Tourism. “

As part of its marketing efforts, Tourism Organization St. Moritz hosted an exclusive networking event with members of CEO Clubs UAE at Shangri La Hotel.

This summer, St. Moritz offers many glamorous events. One of those is the British Classic Car Meeting. This much-loved rendezvous for all admirers of classic British automobiles is a celebration of elegance and high-class style among the breathtakingly beautiful mountains of the Engadin. Every July since 1994, St. Moritz has welcomed some 150 vintage and classic cars and their owners.

“Festival da Jazz St. Moritz” is taking place. Rising stars of the Swiss and international jazz scene are on stage in St. Moritz.

During St. Moritz Art Masters in late August, the region is placed in the spotlight of the cultural world for 10 days. The festival is not only a venue for exhibition and performance, but a rendezvous for the national and international arts scene as well.  - TradeArabia News Service
