Nammos Resort AMAALA is set to open this year

Nammos Hotels & Resorts is undergoing a significant transformation, evolving from its status as an iconic Mykonos beach club into a global ultra-luxury hospitality brand under the leadership of new CEO, Carolyn Turnbull. This expansion is heavily focused on the Middle East, with the flagship property, Nammos Resort AMAALA, set to open its doors on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast as part of the Red Sea Global (RSG) development in Q1 2026. Turnbull, a respected industry veteran with over two decades of global experience, is spearheading this ambitious rollout. She articulated her strategy, saying: “It’s an honour to steer Nammos into this exciting next phase. My vision is to further elevate the brand by creating experiences that celebrate culture, people, and places designed to inspire joy and connection.”

The Nammos Resort AMAALA, located in the stunning Triple Bay area, marks the brand’s first venture outside of Greece and serves as a significant milestone in its journey. The property offers 110 keys and 20 branded residences, with the design blending traditional aesthetics with contemporary luxury. The exterior, led by Foster + Partners, is inspired by traditional Hijazi architecture, while the interiors, a collaboration by Lazaro Rosa Violan Studio and Elastic Architects, capture the timeless Cycladic elegance of Mykonos through a palette of aquamarine, white, and gold, complete with terrazzo flooring and soft marble finishes.

The resort’s unique selling proposition is its unparalleled lifestyle and dining experience. It will feature four distinct culinary venues, including the brand’s signature Nammos Restaurant, which is located on the exclusive Hijaz Island off the resort’s coast, accessible only by boat. This private beach offers cabanas and an infinity pool that appears to float over the Red Sea. Nammos’ expansion is backed by ADMO Lifestyle Holding, a strategic joint venture, ensuring the resources for this global development. Petros Stathis, Chairman of Nammos, expressed full confidence in the new CEO, stating, “Carolyn is a visionary leader with a deep understanding of modern luxury. Her global experience and guest-centric mindset align perfectly with our ambition to redefine luxury hospitality. With her at the helm, Nammos is poised to create transformative destinations that go beyond hospitality.” In addition to Amaala, the brand’s strategic pipeline includes further ultra-luxury openings in the Maldives  (2027) and Abu Dhabi.
