Mharo Khet, a unique 40-acre organic farm retreat, is set to enter a new phase, providing travel advisors with an exceptional, purpose-driven product to sell in India. The destination, located in the heart of the Thar Desert, has launched 10 private cottages for overnight stays.
Mharo Khet is positioned as an immersive, intentional stay experience that transcends the typical resort model, focusing instead on the rhythms of the land and the soul of rural India. What began as a family-run farm cultivating medicinal plants during the stillness of the pandemic has rapidly evolved into a regenerative oasis where food, design, nature and culture converge.
The new cottages, designed for immersive stays, offer an atmosphere of thoughtful simplicity and natural elegance. Constructed primarily with local materials, the architecture is inspired by vernacular desert traditions, ensuring the accommodations blend seamlessly into the surrounding desert landscape and fields of fresh produce. Guests are invited to slow down, reconnect with nature and enjoy the quiet rhythm of farm life, with fields and desert grasses just a step outside their door.
At the heart of the retreat is Paeru, a unique nine-course, open-air dining experience set within a guava orchard. The cuisine is plant-forward and guided by what is fresh, seasonal, and chemical-free, with 95 per cent of the ingredients grown on the farm and harvested just hours before being served. Each dish in the progression is inspired by different stages of life, blending imaginative concepts with deeply grounded flavours.
Beyond the exquisite dining, Mharo Khet offers a wealth of curated experiences such as complimentary farm walks, workshops with local artisans, folk music performances, wellness options
Founded by Rajnush Agarwal, a biomedical engineer, and Vedika Prasad, a psychology graduate and former athlete, Mharo Khet offers a refreshing and authentic alternative in the Indian luxury hospitality market.
Its focus on intentional travel, sustainability, and unique culinary storytelling makes it a compelling sell for travel agents seeking destinations with depth, beauty and purpose.
