Capella Hotel Group has announced plans to open Capella Dubai in 2030, introducing its luxury hospitality brand to the UAE with a 115-key hotel at Dubai Peninsula, a major waterfront development along Dubai’s Jumeirah coastline.
Developed by H&H and designed by internationally
renowned architecture and design firm Denniston, the hotel will feature a
collection of suites, including accommodation with private pools. Its
centrepiece will be a 600-square-metre Capella Suite designed as a residential-style
retreat.
The hotel will be located where the Dubai Water Canal meets
the Arabian Sea, within Dubai Peninsula, a 210-acre waterfront destination
developed by H&H. The master-planned development will bring together
international hotel brands, private residences, dining and retail outlets, a
superyacht marina, one kilometre of private beachfront and more than two
million square feet of botanical gardens.
Capella Dubai will introduce the group's personalised
hospitality approach, focusing on connecting guests with the culture, people
and character of their destination through tailored experiences and dedicated
guest services.
Dining, Wellness and Leisure
The hotel will feature five food and beverage venues, including a lobby lounge, Capella's signature Living Room, a signature restaurant, a rooftop specialty restaurant overlooking the Dubai skyline.
A rooftop swimming pool stretching nearly 70 metres will offer private cabanas and leisure facilities, while a family pool and Little Stars children's club at beach level will cater to younger guests and families.
The wellness offering will include Capella Wellness, comprising the Auriga Spa, a Fitness Centre and Mind Body Studio, alongside an outdoor fitness area.
Inspired by the restorative rhythms of the moon, Auriga Spa
will feature male and female treatment rooms, a co-ed suite and VIP suite, as
well as a hammam, hydrotherapy circuit pool, two biohacking facilities and
grooming services. Dedicated relaxation lounges will provide additional spaces
for guests.
For corporate events and private celebrations, the hotel
will offer a ballroom with a pre-function lounge, two meeting rooms, a VIP
Majlis and an outdoor event lawn.
Personalised Guest Experiences
At the centre of the guest experience will be Capella's
signature Living Room, which will serve as a social space and the base for its
dedicated Capella Culturists.
Rather than providing conventional concierge services, the
Culturists will develop personalised itineraries based on individual guest
interests, introducing visitors to Dubai's cultural heritage, neighbourhoods,
creative communities and contemporary lifestyle.
The hotel will also offer Capella Curates, a programme of
exclusive experiences designed to provide guests with access to cultural
encounters and activities beyond conventional tourism offerings.
Roland Fasel, President, Capella Hotel Group, said: “As
Capella grows beyond Asia Pacific into the Middle East and Europe, we are
entering an important new chapter for the brand. The Middle East shares our
appreciation for craftsmanship, culture and exceptional service, making it a
natural home for Capella.”
Fasel added: “Capella has always been deliberately selective
about where it goes, choosing destinations where we believe we can create
something meaningful and distinctive. At Dubai Peninsula, our partnership with
H&H is the foundation for all that we are building. They share our vision
for the intimate, highly personalised experience Capella is known for, one that
connects guests more deeply with Dubai, its culture and its people. With the
opening of Capella Dubai in 2030, we will further establish our presence in one
of the region's most compelling cities, while remaining true to the hospitality
that defines Capella.”
Shahab Lutfi, Chairman, H&H, said: “Dubai Peninsula is
conceived as a destination with a distinct identity, bringing together some of
the world's most renowned hospitality brands, exceptional residences and a
unique waterfront setting. Capella brings a different dimension to this vision
through its intimate, highly personalised approach to hospitality. We see a
strong alignment between Capella's emphasis on individual experiences and sense
of place and our ambition to create a destination that offers more than
exceptional design and location. Capella Dubai will introduce a more intimate,
service-led hospitality experience to the city's resort landscape, adding depth
and character to the overall offering”
Lutfi added:“Working alongside Denniston, we are bringing hospitality, architecture and landscape together from the outset, ensuring that each responds to the setting and contributes to a coherent vision. For us, the strength of Dubai Peninsula lies in the way its different elements come together, from its shoreline and central park to its collection of hospitality and residential offerings. Capella's distinctive character will be an important part of that mix, shaping a destination that feels considered, cohesive and different.”-TradeArabia News Service
