VistaJet, the world’s first and only global business aviation company that caters to heads of state, corporate leaders and visionary entrepreneurs, has outlined key trends poised to shape travel in 2025.
Luxury travellers are increasingly prioritising health and wellness, seeking immersive experiences that rejuvenate both mind and body. “Wellness is no longer just a focus at home; it’s also a fundamental part of travel,” says Matteo Atti, Global Chief Marketing Officer, Vista (parent company of VistaJet). “Travellers are seeking experiences that rejuvenate mind and body. Destinations like Switzerland and Bali, with their world-class medical spas and wellness retreats, are leading the charge, offering serene environments where guests can focus on their health.”
Meanwhile, hyper-personalisation has gone from being a buzzword to a given expectation among elite travellers. As Atti explains, “Today’s elite traveller expects a journey to be customised down to the last detail. It’s not just about where they’re going – it’s about how the whole journey aligns with their personal lifestyle. Our Members enjoy exclusive access to the most incredible aircraft to carry them to highly sought-after destinations, such as Villa d’Este on Lake Como, as well as curated art tours at the Fondazione Prada in Milan‚ and at any time, every aspect is personalised to their taste, to maximise the pleasure of each minute spent exploring the world.”
In the Middle East, cultural values such as privacy and family also play significant role. “GCC travellers always expect a high level of care,” says Youssef Mouallem, International Executive Vice President at Vista. “VistaJet excels at delivering these tailored moments, whether it’s a fully customised flight or securing exclusive-use accommodations in line with cultural preferences.”
In 2025, the new way to travel will strike a harmonious balance between the benefits of cutting-edge technology and the need for disconnection. While many travellers value the ease of smart services and streamlined bookings, yet there is a growing interest in digital detox.
Culinary adventures will take off - food tourism is booming, with luxury travellers seeking unique and authentic culinary experiences. Think private cooking classes, food tours, and exclusive dining experiences.
Sustainability is no longer a trend; it's an expectation. Luxury travellers seek eco-conscious options that minimise environmental impact and support local communities.
Privacy and exclusivity remain paramount with exclusive-use accommodations, such as private villas and entire islands, offering a sense of seclusion and control. As Matteo says: “Our clients are often under the spotlight throughout their life. When they travel, whether for business or leisure, we like to make them feel secure and in full control of their environment. Spaces that can be used exclusively provide just that, with the additions of protecting them from the unwanted attention their success might have created.”
Mouallem further elaborates: “In the Middle East, privacy goes beyond preference, it’s a necessity. To this end, VistaJet has partnered with elite resorts, private islands, and exclusive-use properties across the globe to ensure our Members can enjoy complete privacy from the moment they board their flight and throughout the duration of their stay.”
Emerging destinations are set to be high on the agenda for 2025 with remote locations like French Polynesia and Iceland taking centre stage and a significant rise in solo and female travel is also expected to be seen this year.
