Uber launches boat services in six hotspots

As millions of people around the world pack their bags for Europe, Uber recently unveiled its summer travel products designed to help tourists go anywhere by boat in some of the most popular destinations across the continent.

Tourists will be able to use the Uber app to access new nautical experiences in Ibiza, Venice, Athens, Paris, Corfu and Santorini. Uber Yacht will arrive in Ibiza, introducing a new way to enjoy the island in ultimate luxury with a private yacht.

A first-of-its-kind water transport service will launch in Venice for visitors to get around the Venetian Lagoon at the tap of a button. Uber Boat in Greece will expand from Mykonos to Athens, Corfu and Santorini. Visitors to Paris this summer can pick-up Uber Cruise to take a trip down the river Seine.

 

Duetto offers full-service revenue solution

Duetto, recently announced a significant product development designed to empower hoteliers to optimize revenue across all segments, including transient, group, and function space. It unveiled its BlockBuster group revenue optimization solution’s next evolution and the integration of its new function space optimization tool, OpenSpace (formerly MiceRate).

Blacklane Middle East projects 25pc growth

Skyscanner reports that 92 per cent of UAE travellers are planning summer holidays abroad, indicating a robust demand for international travel. This surge underscores the increasing need for reliable and luxurious airport transfers, with Blacklane Middle East, anticipating a 25 per cent increase in bookings, solidifying its role as the region’s premier chauffeur service provider. Last year alone, airport transfers accounted for 49 per cent of all Blacklane rides.

“As we approach what promises to be a record-breaking summer travel season, our projected increase in airport transfers is a direct response to the expanding travel market. This is particularly evident among the UAE’s expat community, which comprises 90 per cent of the population and is increasingly travelling for leisure or returning home during the summer months,” stated Nicolas Soucaille, General Manager of Blacklane Middle East.
