Dead Sea Marriott Resort & Spa goes smoke-free
Dead Sea Marriott Resort & Spa has announced that the hotel is implementing a smoke-free policy as of January 2022, and has converted all smoking guestrooms to non-smoking in preparation for the new policy.
In addition, all indoor public areas are also 100% smoke-free, which means that smoking is not allowed in any guest rooms, restaurants, lounges, meeting rooms, public space or associates’ work areas.
The policy is integrated in the Marriott Quality Assurance process. All associates have been trained to respond to potential violations of the policy. For example, housekeepers are trained to observe signs of smoking in the hotel. Guests are reminded at the time of booking and upon arrival at the hotel that smoking is not permitted inside the building.
Pre-arrival email notifications also include a reference to the policy. There is a significant room recovery fee for guests who do not comply in order to cover the extensive cost of restoring guest rooms to a smoke-free condition.
Further supporting its commitment to wellness, the hotel also offers nourishing snack options at Jo’s Midi Café and a variety of healthy breakfast buffet items at Mosaico Restaurant which includes wholesome options such as yogurt, health-branded cereals, and a selection of toppings such as nuts, granola, and dried fruits.
The guests are able to enjoy the unique Sea Salt Scrub and Mud Wrap treatments with the natural Dead Sea products at The Spa and benefit from the healing power of Dead Sea by floating or swimming to prevent skin diseases as it contains salt and huge amount of different minerals to delight the senses.
Muhannad Hameed, General Manager of Dead Sea Marriott Resort & Spa stated: “The smoke-free hotel policy has received praise from guests, and as a family-friendly resort we will remain committed to achieving a smoke-free environment to enhance our guests’ experiences through our wellness offerings. Our decision to make our Dead Sea Marriott Resort & Spa smoke-free removes a major threat to the health of all the hotel’s guests and associates.” – TradeArabia News Service
