AC Group, an award-winning B2B wholesale tour operator, counting Emirates Holidays and Dnata Travel among its business partners, works within the Mice, FIT and group sectors providing a range of luxury and experiential tour itineraries in the UK and Ireland, France and North America.

The company has experienced significant growth due to its unique Netflix/Hollywood-inspired tours including Games of Thrones, Poldark, Outlander, Mary Queen of Scots with more PBS show tours to be announced soon.

Key growth has been experienced from Middle Eastern outbound travellers, due to the experiential nature of the tours. AC Group has developed itineraries that take the visitor experience beyond the coach window to genuine local interaction; working closely with businesses across the UK to provide memorable ‘experiential’ journeys with the personal touch delivered by locals.

The B2B wholesale operator has appointed Mamdouh Abdelkader as sales and operations manager (Middle East and East Mediterranean) as the wholesale tour operator seeks to grow its presence in the Middle East.

Abdelkader’s appointment marks AC Group's expansion within the Middle Eastern, North African and Southern European markets, offering experiential-led tours to the region's travellers. He will be working closely with regional travel agents to create a new range of unique itineraries which meet the interests of Middle Eastern travellers to the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Benelux and North America.

Egyptian-born Abdelkader has worked in the UK as a specialist in bespoke Middle Eastern tours for over 15 years. In his new role he plans to develop AC Group’s presence beyond the GCC into countries such as Egypt, Greece and Turkey.

"This is an exciting opportunity to develop new itineraries specifically for travellers from a region I’m passionate about," said Abdelkader. "The UK has a lot to offer beyond the typical hotel and transfers, with tailored interests such as horseracing and hunting, Premier League football and local sightseeing able to combine to provide travellers with a truly memorable experience.”

Abdelkader is fluent in Arabic and previously worked with companies such as Kuoni, Cox & Kings and Mosaic Holidays.
