Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) will host the third edition of “Ramadan Lamma” from February 26 to March 1, 2026 at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization, offering a family-focused celebration of Ramadan that emphasizes cultural, spiritual, and community values.
The event, themed “Gardens and Tales,” creates an inviting atmosphere for families to connect through shared cultural experiences, reinforcing the museum’s role as a hub for learning, reflection, and social engagement during the Holy Month.
The programme includes interactive workshops, educational games, theatrical performances, competitions, family seating areas, and a dedicated food corner, ensuring activities for all ages.
It also features guided tours of the museum’s temporary exhibition “Cultural Landscapes of al-Andalus,” showcasing over 60 artefacts, some displayed in Sharjah for the first time, highlighting the region’s agricultural and cultural heritage.
Several partners contribute to the event, including Sharjah Coop, Sharjah Environment and Protected Areas Authority, and Sharjah Heritage Museum, providing prizes and specialized workshops.
To encourage engagement, the museum offers free entry throughout Ramadan and operates daily from 9:00 am–2:00 pm and 9:00 pm–11:00 pm (closed Fridays), with evening closures during the last ten days.
Building on the success of previous editions, “Ramadan Lamma” invites families to explore SMA’s rich collections, deepen cultural understanding, and enjoy meaningful, immersive experiences during the Holy Month. -TradeArabia News Service
