Kuwait’s Waldorf Astoria to open this autumn

Can Ferrereta, Mallorca to open this month

LOCATED in the authentic Mallorcan town of Santanyí (a 40-minute drive from Palma) on the south east coast, Can Ferrereta will welcome guests this Spring and open up this lesser-known part of the island for the first time in April 2021.

The Soldevila-Ferrer family, who also own Sant Francesc Hotel Singular in Palma, have meticulously restored a historic 17th century building, transforming it into a stunning 32-room hotel surrounded by verdant gardens. It is home to a Mediterranean restaurant OCRE, a poolside all-day dining restaurant and bar LA FRESCA, a beautifully designed spa SA CALMA with hammam, indoor pool and gym, as well as a tranquil library, curated by the expert team at Maison Assouline. Can Ferrereta is reminiscent of a grand summer house, with space, natural light and textures blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living.

Can Ferrereta is open to adults and children over 14.


Oetker to launch in Capri next year

OETKER Collection announces the addition of Hotel La Palma in Capri, Italy, to the group’s portfolio of Masterpiece Hotels, debuting in April 2022. Reimagining a Capri icon, the 50-key hotel in vibrant Capri Village will be a complete transformation of the original Hotel La Palma that dates back to 1822 – the first and oldest hotel on the island. In line with Oetker Collection’s mission to create meaningful connections in endearing places, the brand’s first Italian property is set bring to life the island’s iconic dolce vita lifestyle. The hotel is owned by Reuben Brothers, marking the latest landmark procurement in their pipeline of investments and developments in Europe. The Reubens Brothers’ acquisition also includes the legendary La Taverna Anema e Core nightclub, a famous nightspot frequented by celebrities, located in the same premises.


Hilton Salwa Beach welcomes guests
