
CAIRO-based Nile Air has increased its Saudi Arabia operations with the launch of a flight to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. The service will operate three times a week between Alexandria and Jeddah on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. Saudi GACA spokesman Khaled Al-Khaibari said permission could now be given to other airlines to start landing at different airports in the kingdom adding: 'This step will positively affect the aviation industry and increase the number of visitors and improve the development of the tourism and economic sectors.' Nile Air flies to Qassim and Jeddah and will soon land at Tabuk airport and Al-Khaibari said the routes between Egypt and Saudi Arabia transport more than three million passengers annually.
