Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), in collaboration with the Public Health Authority (Weqaya), has launched a foundational training course in aviation medicine aimed at strengthening expertise and professional qualifications in the specialised field.
The programme is designed for GACA-authorised physicians, as
well as doctors and healthcare practitioners interested in aviation medicine,
and seeks to align training with international standards and best practices.
The initiative forms part of GACA’s broader efforts to
develop the aviation medicine sector, enhance aviation safety and support the
sustainability of national expertise.
According to GACA, the course contributes to the goals of
Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector strategy and Vision 2030 by investing in local
talent and expanding specialised professional capabilities within the Kingdom.
Registration for the programme opens on June 18 and will
remain available until July 16, 2026.
The training course is scheduled to run from August 2 to
August 31, 2026. Authorities said the initiative reflects ongoing efforts to
strengthen safety standards and build a highly qualified workforce to support
the growth of the Kingdom’s aviation industry. -TradeArabia News Service
