Pegasus Airlines and AirAsia Group have launched a new codeshare partnership connecting their networks through Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
The agreement, AirAsia’s first-ever codeshare, opens for
sale today (September 2) and aims to improve connectivity between Europe and Asia while
offering passengers more travel options at affordable fares.
Under the partnership, Pegasus passengers can book flights
between Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Kuala Lumpur operated by AirAsia X through
Pegasus’ sales channels.
Passengers connecting from Pegasus’ domestic and
international network will benefit from through check-in and baggage services
to their final destination.
AirAsia X currently operates the route four times weekly and
plans to increase services to daily by February 2027.
AirAsia passengers, meanwhile, can connect through Istanbul
to Pegasus destinations including London Stansted, Moscow Vnukovo, Zurich,
Athens and Ankara.
The arrangement marks the first time Pegasus’ network has
been connected to Southeast Asia through a single ticket.
