Marriott International has signed an agreement with Shanghai SIIC North Bund New Landmark Construction and Developmentto bring the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve to Shanghai, marking the debut of the brand’s new urban Reserve concept.
The property is scheduled to open in 2030.
Located in Shanghai’s North Bund, the hotel will form part
of a landmark mixed-use development featuring retail, offices, residences and
an observatory deck.
Rising approximately 480 metres across 103 floors, the
development will include a 110-room Ritz-Carlton Reserve, with many rooms and
suites overlooking the Bund and Huangpu River.

Tina Edmundson, President of Luxury, Marriott International. “There is an
intimacy to Reserve – an extraordinary level of personalization, a deep
connection to local culture, and a sense of discovery and wellbeing that allows
guests to experience a place in an entirely different way.”
The hotel will feature dining venues, a spa and wellness
retreat, indoor pool and fitness centre, alongside curated cultural experiences
designed around wellbeing and local discovery.
