Como unveils prime address in hometown of Singapore
If your winter travels take you to the Far East, Como Orchard on Bideford Road is the newest destination concept by Como Group, the Singapore-based, family-owned portfolio of luxury lifestyle companies created by founder-owner Christina Ong.
Curating the best of hospitality, fashion, dining and wellness in one prime address, the 156-room Como Metropolitan Singapore is the group’s first hotel in its home country.
It’s the first time Como Group’s signature brands – Como Hotels and Resorts, a multi-label fashion retail space curated by Club 21, a new urban wellness space by Como Shambhala, contemporary international dining by Como Cuisine, as well as Michelin-starred gourmet concept by Cote Korean Steakhouse and internationally-renown patisserie Cédric Grolet – will be housed under one prestigious address: Como Orchard.
The 19-floor property features a beautiful rooftop pool and bar and two floors of fashion retail curated by Club21 for dynamic, seasonal collections and pop-up partnerships.
The new urban flagship by luxury global wellness brand Como Shambhala finesses a thoughtful, diagnostic approach to holistic wellbeing, and is enriched with numerous classes, workshops and multi-day wellness paths.
The new Como Cuisine restaurant expands the brand’s commitment to creating some of the best food in Singapore – a reputation already established at Como Dempsey.
Known never to repeat herself with her creative collaborations, owner Christina Ong has also engaged the award-winning talents of Italian architect Paola Navone (Otto Studio), Japanese interior design-consultant Koichiro Ikebuchi (Atelier Ikebuchi), Norwegian digital artist Thomas Hilland, and Modellus Novus, the New York City-based architecture firm behind COTE Korean Steakhouse and COTE Miami.
The way these different innovators and luxury lifestyle experiences intersect is seamlessly integrated in the flow of the building’s spatial design, the introduction of fuss-free technology and signature Como service.
