Hotel Motto to open in Vienna

Share

Motto Group, a Vienna-based lifestyle hospitality brand, will open Hotel Motto in the heart of Vienna late summer in September. The historic building has housed hotels for over three centuries with the first property, The Gold Cross, opened in 1665. In its past lives, the hotel has been home to famous composer Johann Strauss in 1827.

Hotel Motto is a stylized study in Renaissance and Baroque architecture with the interiors rendered in Art Deco geometric lines and accented with industrial grit. Every piece of furniture in the 83 rooms and 8 suites property has been tailor-made for the hotel: from the brass door handles to the in-room lighting concepts have been crafted for each individual space.

An overnight stay in a double room starts at $329.

TRAVEL TO AUSTRIA

The Austrian Ministry of Tourism and Agriculture has announced plans to switch to the Robert Koch Institute system instead of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control system by July 1. The so-called “RKI list” identifies more than 110 countries as “risk areas”, and there will be no quarantine requirement for vaccinated, recovered or tested travellers arriving in Austria from these countries. The list continues to be evaluated on a regular basis by the Robert Koch Institute and is subject to change depending on the epidemiological development in each country. It has been confirmed that the Sinopharm vaccine will be accepted in Austria, however, guests may need to take an additional time-restricted test to enter hotels and other touristic establishments.

Emirates Airline flies to Vienna daily from Dubai, while flydubai is also set to fly to Salzburg from Dubai four times a week starting July.
