Hilton picks up luxury momentum
Hilton announced plans for nearly 10 openings this year and new signings slated across its luxury brands: Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts and LXR Hotels & Resorts.
In the Middle East, the 200-key Waldorf Astoria Kuwait will open this spring. Located within The Avenues, Kuwait’s largest retail, entertainment and lifestyle destination, Waldorf Astoria Kuwait will feature 200 deluxe rooms and suites with panoramic views of the Kuwait City skyline. Key highlights include the highly-anticipated Japanese restaurant concept, ROKA Kuwait and the 13,560-square-foot Waldorf Spa. The hotel’s exclusive Club Lounge combines intimacy and comfort with bespoke service. Meanwhile, meeting and event spaces – including a spectacular Grand Ballroom – provide idyllic venues for unforgettable celebrations or tailored corporate events.
Waldorf Astoria Cancun will open in fall this year.
Hilton’s newest luxury brand, LXR Hotels & Resorts will make its Saudi Arabia debut in Diriyah Gate Development Authority’s historic Wadi Hanifah with an urban boutique resort. This intimate retreat will feature 80 guest rooms and villas, offering guests a lush escape of tranquillity and relaxation for those looking to explore beyond Diriyah town. LXR Hotels & Resorts experienced impressive global growth in 2021 with landmark openings including Oceana Santa Monica, Crockfords Las Vegas at Resorts World, Mango House Seychelles, ROKU Kyoto and Hotel 1000 in Seattle. LXR will look to expand the collection’s Middle East footprint in 2022 with several soon-to-be-announced signings in the region.
Conrad Hotels & Resorts, which currently hosts the majority of its portfolio in the Asia Pacific region, is gaining traction within the Americas and Europe, opening six new hotels in 2022 including Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya; Conrad Shanghai; Conrad Los Angeles (spring 2022); Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia; Conrad Nashville and Conrad Rabat Arzana.
