Kempinski Floating Palace will open in 2023 off Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Road

Europe's oldest hospitality brand, Kempinski, will manage Dubai’s newest record-breaking endeavour built by Seagate Shipyard, a unit of Egypt’s Giza Shipyard.

Kempinski Floating Palace will feature a 156-key floating hotel, surrounded by 12 floating villas connected by pontoons. Anchored next to Jumeirah Beach Road, it will be accessible by mainland via speedboats, yachts and helicopter.

The central building structure of the floating palace will be connected in the middle by a huge glass pyramid. This space allows room for bigger yachts to sail in and out from the centre of the hotel. The floating resort will feature exclusive gourmet restaurants, bars, spa, pools, boutiques, banquet areas. Guests may arrive at the property by speed boats or with their own yachts – the project includes a parking deck for up to 16 yachts. A floating helipad also allows for arrivals and departure by helicopter.

The 12 luxury villas will partly be sold as residences but will also be available for hotel guests to rent out. The two-storey villas come in different configurations of two, three and four bedrooms complete with an infinity pool. Cruising at a maximum speed of 6 nautical miles, the villas come equipped with solar panels, a complete crew and are designed to be environmentally friendly.

"We are delighted to be able to offer our guests in Dubai such a first experience from 2023 onwards, combining the destination's reputation as a high-tech city with the timeless European elegance of Kempinski Hotels," says Bernold Schroeder, Chief Executive Officer of Kempinski Group and Chairman of the Management Board of Kempinski.
