St Moritz Tourismus AG, an organisation in charge of promoting the tourism development of the St Moritz destination in Switzerland, will aim to capitalise on India's continuously expanding market opportunities to tap into the vast potential it presents, said its new CEO Marijana Jakic.
Jakic was recently selected as Chief Executive Officer of the newly established St Moritz Tourismus AG by its Board of Directors.
A native of St. Moritz and a distinguished member of the management team at Engadin Tourism, Jakic was selected following a rigorous selection process that evaluated approximately 80 candidates. She will officially take on her duties as a CEO from September 1, 2023.
Following the successful establishment of St Moritz Tourismus AG in May 2023, accompanied by the appointment of a Board of Directors responsible for shaping the strategic trajectory of the organisation, the spotlight now shifts to the leadership.
Jakic presently serves as the Brand Manager St Moritz and an esteemed member of the Executive Board at Engadin Tourismus. Jakic's impressive credentials and extensive experience in promoting the destination coupled with her local ethos made her an exceptional candidate.
She said on her election as CEO: “I am looking forward to taking on my responsibilities as the CEO of STMT. St Moritz is close to my heart and we wish to showcase everything that the destination has to offer and welcome new guests from India in St. Moritz. In recent years, India has become one of our top 10 markets worldwide. Many regular guests from India have strong ties to St Moritz and the Engadin Valley.
“We will continue to work closely with Indian travel agencies and sales & marketing representatives with an aim to attract the growing number of new-age travellers who are more adventurous and seek immersive sensory travel experiences. Our strategy is to continue capitalising on India's continuously expanding market opportunities to tap into the vast potential it presents through trade partnerships, FAM- and business & development trips, creative marketing collaborations and more.” – TradeArabia News Service
