Qatar Airways has launched a twice-weekly service connecting Doha with Caracas and Bogotá, with the inaugural flight operating on November 4.
The airline becomes
the first Gulf carrier to serve Venezuela and the first to offer nonstop Middle
East connections to both cities.
Operating Boeing
777-200LR aircraft every Wednesday and Sunday, the new route strengthens
connectivity between the Middle East and South America, with onward connections
through Hamad International Airport to more than 170 destinations.
Caracas and Bogotá
become Qatar Airways’ 16th and 17th destinations in the Americas, expanding its
regional network.
The airline has also
strengthened its partnership with LATAM to include LATAM Airlines Colombia,
providing passengers with connections to key domestic destinations across
Colombia.
The expansion builds
on Qatar Airways’ presence in South America, which began with its inaugural São
Paulo service in 2010. -TradeArabia News Service
