SalamAir, Oman’s low-cost carrier, has opened ticket sales for a new service to Copenhagen via Baghdad, with flights scheduled to begin on November 15, 2026.
Operating under
fifth-freedom traffic rights on the Baghdad–Copenhagen sector, the route will
connect Muscat, Baghdad and the Danish capital, while allowing Iraqi passengers
to book direct flights between Baghdad and Copenhagen.
SalamAir said the
service will expand affordable international travel, strengthen connectivity
between the Middle East and Northern Europe, and support leisure, business and
visiting-friends-and-relatives traffic.
Steven Allen, Chief
Commercial Officer of SalamAir, said: “Copenhagen is the ninth new
destination added to SalamAir’s network for 2026, reflecting the
pace of our expansion and our focus on developing commercially promising
markets. Operating twice weekly, the service creates an important new
connection between Oman, Iraq and Northern Europe, serving demand
between Baghdad and Copenhagen while offering travellers more
affordable options to and from Oman. It will also generate new
passenger flows across our network and create further opportunities for
tourism, trade and business exchange, in line with
