Salalah Airport recorded a 7% increase in arriving flights during the Dhofar Khareef season, with 1,758 flights landing between June 21 and July 31, 2026, compared with 1,637 during the same period in 2025.

According to Oman Airports data, the number of arriving passengers also rose to 154,529, up from 142,488 last year.

The increase of 12,041 passengers represents growth of about 8%.

The rise in air traffic coincides with the 2026 Dhofar Khareef season, which continues to attract visitors from across Oman and abroad to experience the governorate’s distinctive monsoon weather and lush landscapes.

Salalah Airport remains a key gateway supporting tourism in Dhofar, where visitor numbers and travel activity typically surge during the annual khareef season.

The latest figures highlight continued growth in passenger demand and air connectivity during one of the region’s busiest tourism periods. -TradeArabia News Service
