Turkish Airlines has signed an agreement with CAE, an expert in aviation training technologies, at the Farnborough Airshow for the delivery of five full-flight simulators (FFS) and two flight training devices (FTD), with options for two additional full-flight simulators.
The partnership supports the airline’s long-term strategy to expand pilot
training capacity and strengthen its aviation training infrastructure through
advanced technologies.
The agreement forms part of Turkish Airlines’ 10-year flight training
investment plan, supporting its fleet growth and the development of its new
Flight Training Centre. Construction of the facility began in January, with
simulator hangars expected to become operational in 2027 and the full centre
scheduled for completion in 2028.
CAE will provide next-generation training equipment for Airbus and Boeing
aircraft, including A321neo, B787 and A350 simulators.
The expanded simulator fleet will enhance training capabilities for narrow body and widebody aircraft operations, helping Turkish Airlines meet
increasing global demand.
