Kuwait Airways resumes operations from Kuwait Airport with 35 flights

Kuwait Airways announced it will resume 35 flights from Kuwait International Airport to multiple destinations.

Abdulwahab Al-Shatti, Acting CEO, said the initial destinations include Beirut, Riyadh, London, Istanbul, Dhaka, Mumbai, Kochi, Colombo, Delhi, Manila, Cairo, Jeddah, and Trivandrum.

Cairo flights will operate daily from Sunday, Beirut twice weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays from April 27, and Riyadh on Tuesdays and Fridays from April 28.

Jeddah flights will operate four times weekly and London three times weekly from April 28.

Colombo will have one weekly flight from April 27, Istanbul on Wednesdays from April 29, and Delhi on Mondays from April 28.

Kochi will operate three weekly flights from April 27, Manila three weekly flights starting April 26, Dhaka four weekly flights from April 27, Mumbai two weekly flights from April 28, and Trivandrum twice weekly from April 27.

Al-Shatti said other destination schedules will be announced after official approvals, adding that Kuwait Airways is prepared to operate efficiently and flexibly while maintaining continuity, safety, and quality standards.

He expressed appreciation to Kuwait Civil Aviation President Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Sabah for his support, and lauded Kuwait Airways staff and pilots for their professionalism and commitment, noting their role in ensuring safe and high-standard operations.

The announcement follows the reopening of airspace at Kuwait International Airport on April 23, after a temporary closure since February 28 due to the regional situation and Iranian attacks on Kuwait. -TradeArabia News Service
