Four Seasons hotel to open in 2027 in Shanghai

Four Seasons, in partnership with Fungseng Prosperity Holdings Limited, has revealed its plans to establish a new luxury hotel in Shanghai – the Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai that is expected to open its doors in 2027.

The hotel will stand 44 storeys high and offer 160 luxurious rooms and suites. Located in the Huangpu district of Puxi, the hotel will be situated on the iconic Huaihai Zhong Road, at the heart of Shanghai’s shopping, dining, and entertainment hub.

The hotel aims to capture the vibrant spirit of Shanghai, offering guests a unique and immersive experience that combines modern luxury with elements of traditional Chinese architecture, said a statement.

Additionally, the hotel will introduce five new culinary concepts and offer extensive meeting and wellness facilities to cater to the needs of both leisure and business travellers.

The new hotel in Shanghai is part of Four Seasons’ ongoing expansion efforts in China, further solidifying its presence in the country’s hospitality market.

The hotel will be at the heart of the city’s shopping, dining and entertainment hub, where neighbourhoods are characterised by neoclassical villas that celebrate Shanghai’s modern creativity and Art Deco heritage architecture.

“The return of Four Seasons to Shanghai will present a new luxury hospitality offering that captures the vibrant character of this world-class city,” said Bart Carnahan, President, Global Business Development, Portfolio Management and Residential, Four Seasons.

“As we expand our portfolio in China, Shanghai has maintained its position as one of the most important markets for luxury travellers. With our long-term partners at Fungseng Prosperity Holdings Limited, we are pleased to bring the signature service, quality and care of Four Seasons to our brand-new experience in Shanghai very soon.”

“Shanghai is a world-renowned destination where its rich history naturally complements its profile as a dynamic and modern city,” said William Wai-hoi Doo, Chairman of Fungseng Prosperity Holdings Limited. – TradeArabia News Service
