THE five star Sonesta St George Hotel Luxor in January announced the phased opening of its new Royal Club floors, starting on the 6th floor with completion expected this month (March).
The new floors, comprising 118 state-of-the-art guest rooms and suites, offer guests exclusive and lavish accommodation combined with refined comfort and elegance. All Royal Club rooms feature LCD television, electronic do not disturb signage, and private seating area. The bathrooms offer a spa unit equipped with steam, Jacuzzi water massage and a remote control with telephone, timer and water temperature control. All rooms on these floors offer turn down service, Aromachologie (L’Occitane) bathroom amenities, butler service, and a private lounge that offers daily complimentary breakfast and personalised check in and check out.
The original guest rooms throughout the hotel have been renovated including new carpeting, colour scheme, LCD TV, duvet and coverlet and modern appliances.
The Sonesta St George Hotel Luxor was built in 1997 on the East Bank of the Nile River, seven kilometers from Luxor International Airport and minutes away from Luxor Temple and Luxor Museum. A modern, eight storey building with a stucco facade and iron balconies, it features a lower level terrace overlooking the Nile River.
All of the 330 guestrooms and suites feature remote control television, air conditioning, electronic door locks, radio, hair dryer, mini-bar, direct dial telephone and safety deposit box. All guestrooms are equipped with fire safety features. The hotel has seven restaurants, a lounge and swim-up bar at the pool. The hotel also features an outdoor heated swimming pool with separate children’s section, fully equipped health and fitness center with massage, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi, 24 hour room service, hairdresser and baby sitting services.
