flydubai unveils first Business Class check-in
flydubai, the Dubai-based carrier, has officially launched its new Business Class check-in at Dubai International (DXB).
This is the carrier’s first dedicated check-in facility for Business Class passengers, and it is located at the Departures area at Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB) near Entrance 3.
flydubai’s Business Class passengers can enjoy a smooth check-in experience with a personalised Meet and Assist service, seated check-in and a Fast Track service through passport control and security lanes.
The new Business Class check-in area features design elements that draw inspiration from the serene and timeless beauty of desert dunes.
Air Arabia starts home check-in service
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has partnered with Morafiq to launch a new Home Check-In service for its passengers in Abu Dhabi. This service offers customers the convenience of checking in their luggage and collecting their boarding passes from the comfort of their homes, significantly enhancing the travel experience by saving time and reducing wait times at the airport.
The innovative service promises a smooth journey from start to finish, enabling travellers to complete their check-in process, receive their boarding passes, and hand over their luggage to dedicated Morafiq staff before departure to the airport.
The Home Check-In service simplifies the travel process for all passengers. A Morafiq representative will arrive at the passenger’s home to collect their luggage and provide them with boarding passes.
Pegasus pioneers AI announcements
Pegasus Airlines flights to Spanish, Arabic and Russian-speaking countries have started featuring AI-generated announcements in the respective local language, following the English version.
This feature, launched last month, was initially introduced on the inaugural Seville route on September 24. During the flight, guests were greeted in Spanish before being provided with information about the route.
The system clones the voices of male and female Pegasus captains to create dynamic multilingual announcements tailored to each flight.
Gulf Air partners with SKY express
Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced a new Special Prorate Agreement with SKY express, a multi-awarded Greek airline.
This one-way agreement allows Gulf Air passengers to seamlessly connect onto SKY express flights and connect through Athens to 32 destinations across Greece.
Under this agreement, passengers travelling from Europe – via key hubs like Rome, Milan, Paris, Munich, Frankfurt, and London – can enjoy seamless connections with a single ticket from their city of departure through Athens to Bahrain, and onward to Gulf Air’s extensive network.
Emirates unveils upcycled Neo bags
In support of Emirates Team New Zealand gearing up to defend its champion’s title at the America’s Cup, Emirates Official Store has launched Neo, a limited-edition tote bag collection that gives new life to sails used at previous world series, regattas and America’s Cup competitions dating back all the way to 2011. The chic bags will consist of 95 per cent upcycled sails, and will have a retro-feel.
Cathay Pacific connects Riyadh, Hong Kong
Cathay Pacific, operating from its home hub, Hong Kong, has launched a new direct service from Riyadh to Hong Kong. Cathay Pacific will operate three return flights per week between Hong Kong and Riyadh using its modern Airbus A350-900 aircraft, featuring Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins.
