The Hotel Galleria Jeddah, Curio Collection by Hilton, has hosted a celebratory dinner last month for Wesal AlKhair, an organisation that provides equine-assisted activities for individuals with special needs.

Founded by Latifa Momenah in 2021, who gained her Therapeutic Riding Instructor Certification in Texas, USA, Wesal AlKhair offers horseback riding sessions to empower individuals with disabilities. The organisation’s team of experienced equine professionals creates a serene environment and caters to each rider’s individual needs. Since its establishment, Wesal AlKhair has served over 100 riders and trained over 600 volunteers.

Sponsored by The Hotel Galleria Jeddah, the dinner brought together approximately 300 guests, including patrons, community leaders, programme participants, and volunteers. The evening featured speeches from Latifa Momenah and other guests, sharing inspiring stories of transformation through the equine program.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support of The Hotel Galleria Jeddah,” said Latifa Momenah, Founder and CEO of Wesal AlKhair. “Their sponsorship has made a significant impact on our ability to serve and empower individuals with disabilities through horseback riding.”

Tulin Yilmaz, the General Manager of The Hotel Galleria Jeddah remarked, “At The Hotel Galleria Jeddah, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. Sponsoring the Wesal AlKhair Annual Dinner aligns with our values and commitment to making a positive difference.”

Wesal AlKhair aims to expand its mission by becoming the first internationally certified therapeutic riding centre in the Middle East. With the support of sponsors, the organization seeks to recruit 10 new instructors to continue their work in empowering individuals across the Kingdom.

The annual dinner was a celebration of Wesal AlKhair’s success and a reminder of the importance of community support. The event showcased the profound impact of equine-assisted activities on individuals with special needs and highlighted the dedication of the organization’s team and supporters.
