New Four Seasons in Qatar
FOUR Seasons Hotels and Resorts is set to open its second property in Qatar’s vibrant capital Doha with the launch of the all-new Four Seasons Resort and Residences at The Pearl-Qatar. Whether planning a short vacation or a long-term stay, guests will have the opportunity to indulge in a glamorous beachfront home at The Pearl-Qatar, one of the city’s most prestigious residential communities. A wonder of modern architecture, this unique island sanctuary has been created on a former pearl-diving site and is home to a dynamic urban neighbourhood.
More than one hundred new hotels have opened in Qatar during the past year as the country’s tourism sector continues to grow at a rapid pace following the successful hosting of the 2022 World Cup.
Guests will be able to choose from a wide range of accommodations including 161 luxurious one, two, or three-bedroom apartments, which range in size from 105m2 to a generous 280 m2. For food lovers, the Resort’s on-site collection of seven outstanding restaurants and lounges is led by La Mediterranee by Joel Robuchon.
IHG expands its portfolio in Riyadh
IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has announced the signing of a management agreement with Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City for a new Hotel Indigo within the city near the Irqah area along Wadi Hanifa in Riyadh, set to open in 2025.
Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City is the first non-profit City of its kind, set to be an incubator for youth and for local and international institutions supporting innovation, entrepreneurship, and future leaders.
The new-build Hotel Indigo will feature 234 guestrooms and suites, as well as 138 serviced apartments. The hotel is ideally situated just 15 minutes from Riyadh city centre and 10 minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage Site, At-Turaif District in Al-Dir’iyah.
The hotel will be located next to the City’s Al Mishraq Zone and serve as a living laboratory where innovation and social life will thrive, and creativity will meet science and technology.
JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge welcomes guests
JW Marriott, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio of 30 extraordinary hotel brands, has unveiled its highly anticipated JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge.
Welcoming guests from April 1, 2023, JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge marks the brand’s very first luxury safari lodge and sits within the Masai Mara National Reserve in southwestern Kenya – one of Africa’s most renowned wildlife conservation and wilderness regions. Overlooking the famed banks of the River Talek on the edge of the reserve, the mindful retreat will offer guests a harmonious backdrop from which to discover the Reserve’s stunning vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains.
The landscape will offer the opportunity to observe the “Big Five” that Masai Mara is home to including lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinoceros and elephants. Between June and September, the reserve is also host to the annual great wildebeest migration which sees more than 10 million animals travel a distance of 1,800 miles from the Serengeti in neighbouring Tanzania.
