Legoland Hotel to open end of this year
DUBAI Parks and Resorts is set to officially launch the Middle East’s first Legoland Hotel later this year. The hotel has been built with children in mind as its star guests and will give families the chance to truly immerse themselves in a playful LEGO themed world. The little ones will be able to eat, drink and sleep Lego.
The Legoland Hotel will have a dragon-guarded entrance, a pirate ship and castle in the lobby, and 250 fully themed Lego rooms.
Dubai Parks and Resorts unveiled plans for the new opening following the launch of nine rides, including the world’s tallest swing ride, at Bollywood Parks.
There’s lots more in store for the rest of 2021, too, with Motiongate Dubai set to open the first ever theme park coaster inspired by John Wick, and the world’s fastest single-car spinning coaster based on the heist thriller franchise Now You See Me.
Bollywood Parks is getting in on the action too and is set to open the region’s first ever wooden roller coaster.
Nordelaia to open in Cremoliono, Italy
SITUATED in the Unesco world heritage site of Montferrat, deep in Italy’s Piedmont wine country, the independent boutique hotel Nordelaia is set to open on July 1, 2021. With easy access from Milan, Genoa and Turin, this 12-room hotel is set among five hectares of agricultural land planted with vines, which will produce the hotel’s own house beverages in celebration of the grapes Piedmont is famous for.
The hotel, respectfully built around a farmhouse dating back to the year 800, has been transformed by British design studio These White Walls together with local architect Valerio Tunesi of Tunesi Studio Genova. The aim was to restore the building’s historical elements, as well as create a direct connection to the local nature and terroir. A striking new three-tier structure houses the hotel’s restaurant, bar, and events space, curated by Michelin-starred chef Andrea Ribaldone and resident chef Charles Pearce. The opening Rates start from €230 (Dh 1,032.08) per night.
Mango House Seychelles opens this July
