Eastern Mangroves sets new standards

THE Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara has stunned the hospitality industry in Abu Dhabi with its latest offering, the Royal Mangroves Residence which sets a whole new standard in opulence, space and style, while offering complete privacy and discretion for the elite traveller.

Situated on the top two floors of the hotel which is located along a 1.2 km stretch of protected mangrove reserves, and comprising up to 2,455 sq m of duplex living space the Royal Mangroves Residence is the most opulent of the hotel’s accommodation and is ideally suited to dignitaries, celebrities and VIPs seeking the ultimate in luxury and exclusivity.

The Royal Mangroves Residence offers elegance and flexibility unlike any other hotel accommodation in Abu Dhabi. Not only is it the largest suite in the city, it is uniquely versatile with a stunning core offering of three opulent bedrooms and elegant living areas supplemented by up to seven additional king sized en-suite bedrooms which can be used by family and friends or – in the case of VIPs and dignitaries – entourage and security personnel.

Interestingly it is not the rooms – gorgeous though they undoubtedly are – that catch the eye and spark the imagination so much as the private rooftop terrace garden which offers 270 degree panoramic views across the mangroves and around to the cityscape. Lawned sundecks complement the 60 sq m swimming pool with its swim-up bar and a BBQ entertainment area, catering to a quintessential lifestyle.

Delicately placed as a kind observatory is the glassed bathroom complex which offers 180 degree views of the mangroves through floor to ceiling glass walls from the rain shower and oversized free-standing terrazzo bathtub.

The residence, which enjoys its own private entrance and dedicated lift for ultimate privacy also features a separate living area, study, kitchenette, a common lounge area, a walk-in closet, butler’s pantry, and an entertainment system spanning two floors. Guests of the Royal Mangroves Residence also have exclusive access to the executive lounge, Kasara, a limousine service with wi-fi, private chef, mixologist, 24/7 butler and a massage and beauty therapist during their stay.

The Residence is not cheap though and the opening rate starts from Dh55,000++ ($14,974) per night for the core 1,355 sq m three bedroom suite offering.

However, it does offer exceptional value for well-heeled guests who can experience the height of luxury in this apartment-style abode where, following a long day in the hustle and bustle of the city, they can treat themselves to a dip in the private infinity pool or a drink at the private swim up pool bar, followed by star gazing in the suite’s rooftop garden. Indeed, although fitted with all the amenities necessary for a modern life, the Royal Mangroves Residence is a personal sanctuary and the ultimate Abu Dhabi experience.

The exceptional experience extends itself through the main hotel as well: combining stylish comfort with natural beauty, Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa blends Anantara Thai hospitality with traditional Arabic culture and warmth, to offer each guest a memorable destination experience. The facilities are second to none, designed with modern flair and elegance, outfitted with the latest in modern technology, including in-room entertainment systems and complimentary wi-fi.

The modern architecture blends unique elements of Arabic design evident in mashrabiyas, intricate mosaics, solid timber and trellis work. Subtle and elegant touches of 18-carat gold are also used throughout the residence adding to the luxurious atmosphere.

“The Royal Mangroves Residence personifies true Anantara luxury. The inauguration of this suite was intentionally planned to be a separate launch from the recent hotel opening, bringing our inventory to 222-rooms. We wanted the news to stand out for such an exclusive product, which is the jewel to Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa crown and also a very new addition to the opulent hospitality market in the Middle East.” commented Nehme Darwiche, hotel manager of Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara.

In spite of its peace and tranquillity, the Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa is conveniently situated just 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport, seven minutes from Al Bateen Executive Airport and 10 minutes from key business centres such as downtown Abu Dhabi and the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company (ADNEC).

Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa is Anantara’s third property in the UAE, joining the award-winning Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara, which is located in the legendary Liwa Desert in the Empty Quarter, and Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara on Sir Bani Yas Island, all developed by Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC).
