Qatar Airways chief executive officer Akbar Al Baker, left, receives the coveted award of World's Best Airline for the second consecutive year at the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards held at the Farnborough Air Show from Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted. The airline also notched up awards for the Best Airline in the Middle East for the seventh consecutive year and the Best Airline Staff Service award in the Middle East.
 
 
 
  The Corinthia Hotel London recently welcomed HRH The Prince of Wales for a tour of the hotel by founder and chairman Alfred Pisani and attend celebrations marking The Prince’s Regeneration Trust’s 15th anniversary. The Trust ensures that historic buildings across the UK at risk of decay or demolition are regenerated and given a new use that will provide economic and social benefits to their communities.
 
 
 
  In support of Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ 5th annual associate fundraising campaign ‘Road to Awareness’, Sheraton Bahrain Hotel hosted a two-day Charity Shopping Exhibition to raise money for Unicef’s Early Childhood Care and Education programme in Ethiopia.   Over 1,000 supporters of the Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project attended The Big Jumeirah Sea Turtle Race to watch six satellite tagged sea turtles and 150 Hawksbill turtles released back into the ocean at Madinat Jumeirah. The event was designed to raise awareness of the project and its role in rehabilitating sick and injured sea turtles.
