Speaking to TTN, Laurent Chaudet, general manager says: “We have had a fantastic first year opening and a very strong last quarter which boosted our performance levels within the market’s global average of around 75 per cent occupancy and Revpar of around $160 for 2011.”
Chaudet adds that the uncertainty of the world economy is one of the key challenges of the industry today and it has become tough to forecast as travel patterns and trends have become more last minute. “Moreover, with the projected increase of new hotel room inventory in the city with both international and local chains opening, will certainly heat up this already extremely competitive market.”
Pullman Dubai Mall of the Emirates is an upscale four-star hotel with competitive advances in both location and product offering appealing to both leisure and business markets. “The GCC and Europe markets remain the key source markets for the hotel especially with the hotel location of being directly connected to the Mall of the Emirates.”
Looking ahead Chaudet says that apart from the consistent efforts towards customer satisfaction, the hotel will be offering dynamic packages for guests who would be visiting Dubai for business or pleasure in terms of rooms, food and spa offers.
“We recently launched the Wellness Break offer which includes a spa gift card with the room. During DSF, we offered shopping room packages with a $100 voucher from Mall of the Emirates plus a 30-minute foot spa treatment.
“We are now designing other packages such as golf packages and romantic stays for guests. Furthermore, as of January 1, 2012 the hotel is already offering free wi-fi in both public areas and in the rooms – which is a new standard practice by Pullman Hotels & Resorts,” says Chaudet.
